Jim Orr - President
Jim is responsible for the recruitment of new partners. His experience as a store owner allows him to communicate with owners on a peer to peer basis. Having built the AVU business from the ground up, Jim enjoys working with owners to help them make the changes to their business in order to compete and survive in this challenging environment.

John Grant - VP Custom Install Systems
John brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the Management Team, more than 15 of which have been with AVU. He has extensive sales and management experience in this very competitive environment of consumer electronics. He had the privilege of managing our top corporate store for more than 5 years and has a very good handle on the challenges that store owners and managers are faced with today. All of that hands on experience enables John to help in store with training, culture and advice. Finally as the gadget guy of the team, John's keen interest in custom home has led him to head up AVU's continuing development of that category.

Paul Canty - VP Operations
Paul has been with the team since 1991 and is passionate about the AVU lifestyle and opportunities. He has worked in Big Box and experienced the stark contrast compared to Audio Video Unlimited. He has a background in training, facilitation and retail management and these skill sets are put to good use given that AVU is committed to developing its’ most precious resource, people. Currently he is overseeing our retail store located in Coquitlam and conducting training at all levels, Sales, Install and Management. He also has a knack for developing front line tools and resources that are crucial for survival in today’s economy.

Chuck Ivancic – VP Sales & Development
Chuck is one of the corporate sales team responsible for signing up new partners for AVU. In addition to his responsibilities for helping new partners with startup, he is also AVU’s corporate trainer. With 25 years in Retail including from Sales to District Management, Chuck can help partners with our AVU systems as well issues relating to training, performance, and management.

Derek Collier - VP Merchandising
Derek brings along experience, skill sets and acumen that help us continue to deliver value to our partners, suppliers and customers. With just shy of 20 years of industry experience, the bulk of which was spent at A&B Sound as VP Purchasing & Marketing and recently at Future Shop as Senior Home Theatre Merchandising Manager.

Steve Shigetomi - VP Appliances
Steve is heading our start up and growth plans for the Appliance Unlimited Banner. With over 20 years of retail management, he has developed a skill set that will assist in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers as well as offering support to our partners to grow their Appliance business. On a personal note, Steve spends his free time with friends and family and his wife of 20 years and his three children.

Bruno Fontaine - VP IT Systems
Bruno has more than 25 years experience in the computer arena where his expertise include web development, applications programming, databases and creation of e-commerce sites. He also worked several years as one of the top salespeople with a large computer manufacturer focusing on resellers channel and educational accounts development. His strong mix of technology knowledge, business acumen, social skills together with a drive to succeed result in a great addition to our team.
