Job Description 

We are looking for a highly creative graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations across our media platforms. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams at our company, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project. Objectives of this Role
  • Work on a wide range of projects and media to develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
  • Obtain input from management & marketing teams, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Manage products for display via content management systems
  • Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
  • Update and maintain internal databases of digital assets
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
  • Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
  • Manage the design and uploading process of all project material, understanding best practices for using a content management system
  • Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current and historical business and market to design and execute specific classifications
Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
  • Experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
  • Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems a plus
  • Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion. A Marketing specialist should be a competent professional able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas. You should be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with external vendors to acquire digital assets for best in class display across our ecosphere
  • Work with 3rd Party to acquire additional assets as necessary
  • Coordinate brand and product awareness via professional display & marketing efforts
  • Accountable to executing monthly rhythm to maintain and develop online portfolio
  • Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
  • Demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
Requirements
  • Proven experience as product marketing specialist or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS and web development tools desired
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Communication and follow up skills

Our office is in Coquitlam near IKEA and you will be required to travel into work for a minimum of one day a week and perhaps more when we have special events or require staff coverage. We do allow our staff to work from home for the balance of the time.
