    Worst Fridge Ever

I got suckered twice by corbeil on this fridge. First one kept leaking the second year in the trays. Warranty company gave up after 3 times. Lost my Extended warranty money and all I got was a credit for the purchase corbeil. Was told all problems solved with fridge. Now the extended warranty Company has sent some one 5 times to fix same problem. Fighting to get money back. Bad fridge. Don’t believe any positive reviews.

Terrible fridge. Do not waste your money

We purchased this fridge 3 years ago. We had limited options as our kitchen can only accomodate a 33″ wide, counter-depth fridge. The first 18 months were ok, but since then we’ve had problems with water pooling in the bottom of the fridge, as well as the crisper drawers. Poor drainage results in the entire refrigeration unit freezing over, causing the fridge to not actually cool. These are both costly repairs, on top of the cost of the food we’ve had to discard. Our last repair to ‘defrost’ the refrigeration until was less than a month ago, and I can see that it’s already frozen over again. Don’t waste your money on this fridge, unless you want to have to purchase another within two years.

Planned obsolescence: less than 3 years

I bought 2 of these Samsung RF18HFENBSR French Door Refrigerators in fall-2017, now less than 3 years later, both of them started having issues. One defroster stopped working and other probably has a faulty sensor as it’s been beeping and changing freezer temperature.

Terrible design and Cooling System Fails

I moved in to a house with all new Samsung appliances. They look nice, all matching and stainless steel, but this fridge is horrible. This is the most basic model you could choose as far as flexibility. The shelves have a couple notches to adjust them higher or lower, but it’s just an illusion of versatility – none of the levels allow enough height to store a gallon of milk without having to tilt it to squeeze it in. The only option is either bottom door shelf, which will pretty much only hold that gallon of milk with no room for anything else. Thank goodness there are only 2 adults in this house – can’t imagine how I would be able to store enough food for a family without grocery shopping multiple times a week.

Water also constantly pools up under the two crisper drawers and sometimes ends up in a frozen sheet of ice. I couldn’t see any source of water or where it could be coming from until the entire back unit just recently completely froze over, and now the fans are running so loud I’m afraid I’m going to lose the fridge altogether. After searching this issue, I found countless posts of this issue being so common and Samsung has no solution other than to have it serviced over and over.

Lovely during this pandemic that I am going to have to somehow empty my whole fridge and hope I can save the food in coolers while i defrost and disassemble the whole fridge, melt all the ice blocks, and see if I can fix the drain. From other reviews, seems this happens frequently and there’s no permanent fix to avoid having to do this every so often.

On a positive note, the ice maker works fine within the freezer and I haven’t found any issues with the freezer….yet.

For a fridge that is less than 5 years old with no bells or whistles, it’s rather disappointing that the fridge function itself is causing such problems.

Huge disappointment- Do not waste your money

We bought a brand new home where builder used Samsung appliances , Just after 1 month of my Warrnty expire I found a huge water leak in to crisper drawer ; my stuffs were literally floating on almost 1.5 inch water in both drawer. I called Samsung; they forward my case to warranty department upon my argument as warranty just expire 1 month before. Then warranty department refused for any repairs as warranty expire; even if it’s just a month. I was under the shock that a huge brand name in market can make such appliance which stop working just after a month; and they will not help you out at all.
After google the issue ; I found out I am not the only one.
It should be shame for the Samsung for making such a cheap quality product and worst customer service or I would say no customer service as they already sold their product to the customer.
I also complain the builder not to use such appliances and that will ruin their reputation too.
I will for sure not buying Samsung anymore in my future and will advise same to my family , friends and all review reader for not to waste your hard earn money and buy such appliance which stop working just after 1 month of warranty expire.
So this fridge has life of just 1 year and 1 month only; beware friends.
