    Complete Disappointment Multiple Problems

I waited as long as possible before posting this review in hopes Samsung would contact me and do the right thing and fix the many malfunctions we’ve been experiencing since the first day we installed the fridge.

The refrigerator has a sleek and modern look, which I immediately loved. The design is both functional and intuitive. I like how it’s appearance is high-end, but doesn’t overly draw attention either.

It has plenty of space for all my fridge needs and I really like how the shelves are easily adjustable and the FlexZone drawer is a neat feature with its easy to adjust compartments and the ability to adjust its temperature.

That is all I can say positively about this fridge, as it has been a complete nightmare ever since installation. The doors have an alarm to alert owners if they aren’t properly shut, however the freezer door alarm NEVER stops going off while closed and it never lights up when it is opened. It’s somehow working backwards and stops making the alarm sound when open. Sometimes you can see the light on of the freezer when it’s closed. I immediately contacted The Insiders about the problem to receive a prompt email response that Samsung would be made aware of the problem and contact me to fix it, but no one from Samsung has ever made contact. Upon some internet searching, I’ve come to realize this is a problem for many who own this fridge. In fact, I saw posts about these problems going back 3-4 years on different Samsung models. The user manual is not correct on how to make the problem stop. My family has had to spend quarantine with a refrigerator that makes the most upsetting beeping the entire time.

Additionally, the freezer temperature gauge indicated the freezer wasn’t getting to the low temperatures it’s supposed to be. I paid to buy thermometers to check the true temperature and it is in fact at the correct temperature for the freezer but the temperature indicated on the panel varies from correct to 25 degrees off at any given time.

As if those problems aren’t enough, the water dispenser sometimes stops dispensing for no reason. And then as suddenly as it stops it will start back up a minute or more later.

I would discourage everyone from buying this terribly made refrigerator. Especially since it’s an ongoing problem and Samsung won’t even bother to contact me to arrange to fix their problems. I just wish I could get my old Samsung fridge back now. It was working perfectly fine after 12 years. I love my Samsung dishwasher. I love my Samsung oven and range. But they have perhaps forgotten how to make a reliable refrigerator or just don’t care.

My neighbors were excited to see our new fridge but were discouraged when the beeping wouldn’t stop. They got a different fridge from a different manufacturer.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the fridge and Samsung customer support, or more accurately, the lack thereof. To have this many problems (lights, beeping, water dispenser, temperature not displaying correctly) so soon, at this point a new fridge is the only option I see to fixing this. We were about to replace a couple televisions in the house with 8k models. I’m definitely rethinking my manufacturer choices.

Behind ice maker constantly becomes a solid block

Our fridge is less than 6 months old and we are having to pull the ice maker monthly to defrost the back of the unit. We let it go 3 weeks this time and now we cannot remove the ice maker and we have no ice. Poor product and it appears as if Samsung is well aware of the issue with this model. Would not recommend this brand at all.
