4 months out of warranty and its dead. Heating element burned out and took the control panel with put a new element in it with new thermal fuses a new hi limit and a new thermactor and still no heat. Matching washer we bought doesnt autofill correctly either. Buyer beware.

    Dryer of the year.

In my opinion this dryer looks nice preforms excellent and carries out all the loads we put in it. She runs well and isn’t to loud. Try it out.

Dryer is squeaking. Purchased Dec 2015.

Dryer is approx. 2 years 3 months old and is now squeaking. Sounds like the standard problem I have read online. Front drum roller. Not very impressed with the quality of the product. Used regularly 3-4 cycles a week.

    Never buying Samsung

I’ve had this dryer for a little less than two years, paid a lot of money for it, and today am having $200 worth of repairs done to it because it just quit working. For the price, it shouldn’t be giving me trouble this early on. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. The washer I bought with the dryer had already been recalled. The new washer doesn’t clean my clothes well. Just over all a very disappointing experience.

    Worst dryer ever!

I will never own another Samsung moisture sensor. I will never tell a friend to buy it either..we’ve had this dryer almost 2 years and every 3-6 months it stops getting hot. The same part goes bad every time ..this is the worst dryer I have every owned!!!

    Ties everything in knots

If you attempt to dry anything along with a sheet, fitted sheet, towel, dress, or anything larger than a shirt it will tie it in a knot. literally. Samsung tells me to take the cloths out, hang them for a min and dry them before drying them in the dryer… if I wanted to do that much work i’d get a cloths line, which i’m going to do anyways because this dryer is sub par. Also, any fitted sheet will engulf all the other laundry and make sure it stays nice and wet. (and knotted)

    After 22 months problems started

Got a great deal on dryer 22 months ago. Fortunately I used savings to buy extended warranty from Square Trade. Today dryer will not turn. Square Trade asked 4 or 5 questions and determined it to be unrepairable. I was shocked. After reading reviews online, i see many have the same issues about 2 years into use. Just got through going through Samsung washer recall and now issues with dryer. As a whole this is our 2nd Samsung washer and dryer in 2 years, Both have 5 year extended warranty. Ill play the game till this runs out but this will be our last Samsung Laundry product. They work well when they work…

    Worked well for first year

We bought our dryer in December 2016 and it worked just fine for the first year. When it was 17 months old it began to make a loud squeaking noise. I did some research to try to determine what the cause was and I was shocked to see how many customers had the exact thing happen just after their warranty expired. It seems like there is a common thread which makes me think there is a product defect.
I haven’t heard back from Samsung about whether they will repair it outside the warranty.
I am hoping they stand behind their product.
My advice on this product is to see if they address this before you purchase this model.

    Worst Dryer Yet! not dependable

Well if you are after looks this is a good looking unit However if you are looking for dependability this is not it! Less than 3 years and it is finished… Had several service calls with in the first year to repair issues with the belts and drum unit. Never was right after service and makes lots of noise. Yesterday the unit just stopped heating up and checked several things to see if we could get it working. Appears to be sensor or heat coil and not calling for expensive service. Unit only has one year warranty and you will need extended with many Samsung appliances (Our higher end Samsung Fridge also having problems). I have had many other brands that worked for years with no problems. Like I said they look nice but when I need it to work and last you will be shelling out money for repairs. Not happy as needing to now buy a new unit and family left with wet clothes to hang around the house.

    2 repairs in 1 year

Our dryer was purchased brand new in the summer of 2016. In December 2017, machine buttons would light up but it would never start. After servicing it, we were told the original belt was a common issue with these models and it was replaced. Less than a year later, the unit seems to function like normal but the clothes seem to just spin and not dry. We have cleaned all filters and hoses of any lint. We do 1-2 load of laundry per week (at the most). I am very disappointed in this machine.

    Best Washer Ever!

I love everything about this washer. It’s the best washer that I have ever owned. It doesn’t have all of the unnecessary features that you see with all of the other washers. I just wish it would be a little higher and that we could change the sound. But, other than that, I absolutely love the washer.

We’ve had this dryer less than 3 years. It went out around 6 months ago and we had to replace a fuse. It went out again recently and it’s the same fuse that needs replacing. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I’ll go back to Whirlpool.

    Great features and longevity

The machine has no problems whatsoever! My clothes dry evenly and crisply and smell wonderful even without the dryer sheets. The moisture sensor gives me a peace of mind as I don’t have to keep checking my clothes to ensure proper dryness. Best decision I have ever made.

    Best dryer I’ve owned

Technology is ever changing. My dryer works as expected and is an upgrade. It has had two error codes that have rendered it useless as both I and the repair men had difficulty finding the fault. Once we found the error it was an easy fix just the not knowing was frustrating. Suggest a manual with how too diagnose.

    Poor lifetime

I bought the set of matching washer and dryer.. washer is great! The dryer was until it suddenly stopped one day, only 18 months old. Samsung tech support was not helpful or empathetic to the fact their product did not last. They asked me to Power it off for a minute and back on… seriously??? Like I had not tried that already! I’ve checked the belt, it’s fine. According to my issues it’s the motor… so the motor is out on a dryer used one day a week and is only 18 mos old, and now I have to pay for repair because their product that’s not even two years old, is faulty. Exact reason I stopped buying their TV’s and phones because they last short periods of time!

    New dryer not turning on

I just purchased this dryer a week ago and the first dryer delivered would not power on even after checking the breaker, power from multiple locations with a multimeter, and the previous dryer that I own which worked as soon as it was reconnected. I just received my replacement and the same problem of no power is happening.

    Awful dryer

Bought the dryer less than 3 years ago, Had to call for service twice. Second time the repair estimate is $349. I am officially done with any Samsung appliance. This WAS my 3rd appliance, dishwasher failed after 1 month, microwave after 2 months. End of story.

I bought this dryer and it has messed up 2 times already in less than a year. I didn’t purchase any extra warranty but I’m thinking i should have. The motor was out last time and its doing the same thing 5 months later. I wish i could just get another one instead of trying to fix this piece of junk

    Poorly made, poor reliability

We bought this dryer 2 years ago when our 6 year old Whirlpool dryer died. We were very happy until the idler pulley failed 13 months after purchase. After replacing the pulley it ran well for 9 months until the heating coil burned out. When we went with Samsung we thought we were purchasing a quality product with good reliability. We really like the features and look of the unit but hate that I have to keep spending money on fixing it. After researching this I am finding that these are common problems with this particular model. It seems that companies are no longer using quality parts. Really disappointing!

Bought this Dryer 1 1/2yr. Ago and already not drying no warranty and now I have to pay someone to fix because Samsung builds a cheap product and gets you for hundreds of dollars. Will never own another one again or any Samsung Product

    Lasted only three years

I’m sure there are other good Samsung products out there but this one I wouldn’t classify as a good investment. The belt no longer has traction and drum no longer spins. dryer motor still works. This looks to be a hard fix.

    3 Years and It’s Toast

Bought it at Lowe’s about three years ago. Took forever to dry clothes. About three months ago, it started making a bumping, shattering sound. Then, about a week ago it started running like a well-oiled machine. And, then today it stopped drying altogether.

Wish I could give it no stars!

Bought this dryer brand new 2 years ago. Within the first 6 months I had the worst squeaking you could imagine! Called and got a repair man out and paid to have the PLASTIC pulley replaced. Worked fine for about her few months and then boom pulley goes out again and so does the heating element! Just had the repair man here yesterday for the 6th time in 2 years to fix it and he says the next time it breaks he won’t come to fix! On top of that we have paid out of pocket for all repairs bc Samsung has told us it would be weeks for a tech and parts to be ordered. Who has time for that?!? DONT BUY!!!

    Nothing but issues

I LOVED this dryer the first 6 to 12 months I had it. After that I started having issues. I have owned it 3 years and had someone out to fix it twice under warranty and now, less than a year after the warranty is up, the motor blows and another expensive fix. Needless to say, I am buying a new set and I will never touch a samsung appliance again. Between this and the exploding washer sitting next to it, I have no faith in the company when it comes to appliances anymore.

    Junk after 2 years

We bought this product just about 2 years ago on the dot and it already is done. The machine ran great and had no problems until this past week. It goes through the drying cycle fine but when it turns to the cooling mode, the heating element doesn’t shut off. The unit gets so hot you can barley touch the outer shell. It continues to run like this until it is shut off manually by pressing the power button (fire hazzard). Got one error code about one week ago and it was HC which is incorrect heat or something. I am pretty handy so where the warranty was up after one year i wanted to fix it myself. We could barley find any information on this code and all everyone wanted to do was send a technician out.
