    Extremely Dissatisfied AZ

    Nice features but horrible craftsmanship!

I purchased this unit from Costco less than two years ago due to a couple of features that seemed great, including the Auto Door opener for faster drying and the Storm Wash. Unfortunately, those features aren’t enough to overcome the horrible craftsmanship of this product. Within the first few months, the unit started leaking from underneath. After two separate attempts and a dented door, they finally got the leak fixed but denied they dented the door and wouldn’t replace it. A few months later, the drain pump failed making loud noises every time it turned on. Another couple of visits to diagnose and order parts and they finally got the pump replaced. Now the dish racks are rusting through and all the plastic tabs on the moveable arms of the upper and lower racks keep coming off and getting stuck in the drain filter. Another call and another service appointment. However, now they are warning if it’s not a manufacturer defect they will charge me for the visit. Ridiculous! If they can’t manufacture a dishwasher that can’t last two years they should take it off the market. My last washer made it 12-years without a single problem until the end. Total garbage and worse customer service.

Didn’t work, right out of the box

I purchased the dishwasher with the hope of renovating my kitchen and installing it. It took longer than i wanted to finish the kitchen, and i just finally installed the dishwasher the other day. The first time i ran the thing, it didnt work. Its been sitting in a box for a year, and of course now the warranty is up and we have a service person coming for $175. From the looks of other reviews, it might just be worth buying a new one, and not worrying about having the service person come 5 times. The problem i had was the cycle would start, but then the touch pad would be unresponsive. I open the door and cannot turn it off. Flip the breaker off and back on and now no power to the unit, no response from the buttons, no lights. I go to push on the door and all of a sudden the cycle starts back up again. Very dissapointed. How many bad reviews before they issue a recall??

Product has worked correctly since day 1.

I bought this dishwasher in Oct. 2018. This dishes are wet when the cycle is done, I have to rinse them again to get all of the soap off of them. Now it showed a lock on the control panel and would not start. I had to take it off of the sanitary mode for it to work. I will never buy a Samsung again.

    Not a good choice!

I found that this dishwasher leaves to much moist in the plastic stuff. Also after less than a year the dish we start having problems with it, because it just didn’t start, all the lights off. We thought it was de connection but after several check ups our installation guy told us was the dishwasher, it has problem with the panel. Now we have to repair or buy a new one, just a year and a half of buying it brand new.

    Dont buy it

had a horrible smell right out of the box(old rubber, smoke and stinky feet is avout the right combination). and still stinks. it has broken 3 glasses so we do not even use it anymore. pass on this.

    Not Happy

Samsung has to get back to the drawing board on this one. A week in after buying this Machine, we were hand washing the dishes that were not clean. With in a month I wish I didn’t sell our old dishwasher so fast. It preformed excellent to Samsung DW80K7050. I recommend do reviews before buying. This is not a good choice.

    Keeps dying then dies totally

For the price this dishwasher is not worth it. I feel very dumb standing next to an expensive dishwasher and having to hand wash. Kept not working, then just completely died. Won’t turn on or anything. Will never purchase Samsung product again.

Have had the dishwasher 1.5 years/always smelled-did t clean well -didn’t dry dishes well and now it’s dead-a control panel problem that will cost almost $300 to repair-not counting the service call charge. Junk! Anyone need parts like a basket or tray? -will sell cheap

From the very start we have had trouble with this machine. It never fully cleans the dishes and leaves gritty residue on all of them. Of course we had a Samsung service call and they announced it was my fault for not using liquid washer and a rinse aid. There was “nothing wrong” with the machine. So I immediately bought liquid Cascade and Finish liquid rinse aid and used them as instructed. Also he said do not rinse the dishes first. Results: same old story. I think in the 3 months I have had this machine we have gotten maybe 5 small washes that were ok. The rest, there is always residue and not fully cleaned dishes. We have a service call scheduled again for September 7. Samsung does not seem to care that this product is downright awful. Instead of putting effort into it playing a little song at the end of the cycle, they should have put their effort into it being a great dishwasher….but they didn’t. I am very unsatisfied.
