    Leg stands were worthless

Nice TV, but having a small table the legs were right on the edge, definitely should’ve had the option of installing the legs in the middle or at least closer together. that to me is a design flaw. I had to buy a wall mount just to avoid the hassle of the TV falling off the table edges.

    Glitchy screen

Screen goes green and glitches out. Also glitches out when I press any buttons on the remote. Had it for less then a week.

I am using this TV as a PC monitor

Wow. I am very impressed. I have tried TV’s as monitors before over the years with mixed mostly bad results. This TV works as a great monitor for much less money than a traditional monitor. I am a semi-pro photographer…not my main job but I have sold hundreds of photos using just a 10 year old 1080p monitor. I really don’t see the need of an overpriced traditional small ips monitor without sound for most people. This TV has HDMI 2.0 supporting UHD (50/60P 4:4:4 and 4:2:2) signals. Windows 10 looks great. Photoshop and Lightroom look great. In order to make this an amazing PC monitor do the following……In the settings menu go to General then External Device Manger then HDMI UHD Color and turn it on. There are massive other settings you can adjust to your own liking.

bought as a glorified monitor – needs improvement

Using this as a glorified monitor for my surface book 2 desk setup with a dock. My wife uses her surface pro 4 with it connected to the same dock.

Although this is one of the better response time 4k TVs right now (15ms for game mode) and is one of a few 40 inch in samsungs tvs in the lineup for 2018… I hate sacrificing the colour and 120hz with game mode but it is what it is.

    anyways here are my gripes…

why the heck is Bluetooth removed in 2018 for 7100 series. Last year even the 6900 series had Bluetooth. My bedroom has the 40 inch 6900 from 2017 and it is awesome to use a true wireless earbud or headphone at night while my wife sleeps. worked flawlessly and the delay was so minimal it was great.

I’m using this 40 inch as a monitor in the den but it also has a Apple TV 4K and a Xbox One X hooked up for game time.

Couldn’t go to 6000 series as they only have 2 HDMI and I needed 3 for my setup and couldn’t go up to 8000 series because they start at 50 inches which is too big for a desk to look at but would have Bluetooth. I would actually buy the 2017 40inch 6900 series if I can find it… need that BT for late night youtube… anyways. may end up returning this TV because it came close but not close enough I think…

3 stars. If it had bluetooth 4 stars. if it could manage 5-10ms quicker at movie mode… 5 stars. 6 stars if there was a 36 inch version of the tv with all those specs 🙂

    My New Samsung T.V.

I purchased this Samsung 40″ Class NU7100 Smart 4K UHD TV and I’m so glad I did. The picture is so clear and the sound is great! I truly recommend it, also the price was very fair.

    Ha! Dayum!

The TV arrived faster than I can say Ha! Dayum!
Good budget 4K tv which is 4K unlike fake ones out there. Display is good with 1080p+ content, which is purpose of the TV anyway. No bixby feature in TV (can be through mobile app, even on iOS), but I didn’t wanted it anyway so good for me. Speakers on TV are loud, but too flat of bass. So if you have a sound system these in built speakers can add a bit of volume(be used as tweeters). As for my usage I am using it as my primary monitor. A tip: adjust scaling to your needs as windows does it, but not good (way to huge of upscaling of fonts & icons).

    No Bluetooth?!?!?!?

I’ve been a Samsung TV owner for years, so when it came time to put a new TV into my paincave, I just ordered the size Samsung I wanted. It didn’t occur to me to see if it had bluetooth. This is 2019 for pete’s sake. Shame on me, I guess. Back to the store, guess I’ll get an LG.
