Great TV but I have a few issues with it

I just got my TV a few days ago and here is what I think so far:

The picture quality is fantastic and the sound is pretty good even without a sound bar. I do still use a sound bar though.
It connects to the internet very well and loads Netflix and other apps very quickly compared to my old Sony.
Overall I really like the smart hub.
The remote is elegant but does take a bit to get used to and doesn’t work that well with my Sony DVD player. It does work but the interface is tough to use.

Now for the things I really don’t like that make me want to take the TV back:

Samsung preloads their TV’s with some internet channels. When you power up your TV these news channels play. You have to go and try to find where to turn them off but sometimes they can come back. You can’t delete this app and they do warn you that as they add more stations you will have to delete them. I’ve seen several threads where people complain about and have all had issues getting rid of it.

There are also some small adds that appear on the smart hub. There is a place where you can go and turn them off but they often come back even when you have the option checked off. Others I’ve found in reviews have had the same issue.

The last thing has to do with the Pandora app. My old Sony had a screen saver built into the app that came up after a couple of minutes. This app has no screen saver on the Samsung. I read about some other people on threads that said they had had burning issues with the app even after short usage. I contacted Samsung and they told me there would be no burning issue with the app.Seems like an expensive gamble from my standpoint to play Pandora so I will have to have another player for this as 50% of our TV usage is with this app.

If it wasn’t for the loaded TV channels and the Pandora issue I would give this TV 5 stars. In my research the Sony TV’s had even more issues with their apps these days. Some saying that Netflix and Hulu wouldn’t even play.
