    Blown Away! I Love My First Samsung TV

    So happy with my purchase! I was looking to replace an old TV with a new Smart TV. I heard about this TV from a friend that really loved its performance and technology. I’m so glad I went with the recommendation.

    First, I’m blown away by the High Definition and Color! I can’t believe what I was missing all this time with my old TV. The picture is high quality from edge to edge and the colors are so bright and realistic. What’s also incredible is the depth of the black and shades of black. They really enhance the quality of the image.

    I tested out the TV with several 4K movies to see how it would perform and they look amazing on this! You can see all details and the images are so crisp! It looks like a live image. You can even see all of the shadows and detail even with some of the darker programs, even in a bright room. I was re-watching the Avatar movie and it looked so fantastic on this TV.

    Second, the speakers deliver such deep and rich sound quality. No need for surround sound system with this TV.

    Also, the TV set up is so intuitive and easy. I’m not tech savvy and it’s great that the TV is so easy to set up. It automatically connected to my home network and guided me through a few steps to get our Netflix, Prime TV, HULU and YouTube set up. The remote control is streamlined and also super easy to use. I haven’t used the app yet but excited for the option.

    This TV is SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! The TV itself is so thin and beautiful to look at! The border is so thin the picture looks like it goes from edge to edge.

    Samsung delivers a fantastic, high quality product with the Q8 QLED. So happy I made this purcha

    Vertical Banding and broken back plate defect

    so the picture is great during bright viewing areas but at night it really starts showing its problems during gamemode I get lots of vertical banding not so much on other mode. Mined you its during dark scenes and during the day it is not a problem with the picture looks gorgeous, there is also a dirty screen effect on my particular set but it’s not very noticeable. The TV is my second one already I had to return my first one because of vertical banding as well. This one has a plate in the back where you say the USB and audio input is coming apart, also the vertical banding is still present thought not as bad as the first set.

    Artificial looking picture. Service is worse

    Bought this a little over two months ago and sort I did. Picture does not compare to my 3yr old LG OLED and the panel has failed resulting in missing what will be 3 days of work waiting for it to be repaired. Based on how long I had it I should get a new TV not a repaired one.

    Recieved broken!

    Got this tv quick enough to have it before thanksgiving received it 11/16, recieved it with whole screen broken and now I have to return it and get my money back but won’t have a tv now, I’d order again if there was a faster shipping for the tv

    Entire row of pixels burned out in 2 days.

    TV was deliver a day late, on 11/16/18. Set up tv, no problems, beautiful picture. Used TV on Fri and Saturday, no problems. Turned on TV on Sunday and there was a white line across the screen towards the bottom. En entire row of horizontal pixels was not working, and in one spot, 3 pixels vertically were out. Not happy at all about my brand new tv having a problem with 3 days.

    Best screen yet

    Just installed the TV. Loved the screen protector out of the box. Made me feel good about handling until completely installed. Screen is amazingly crisp. A big improvement over mt 65 inch 8500 curved Samsung. The Samsung smart set up was easy. The integrated prime and Netflix buttons in the remote is great. It does pixel when local commercials come on. Otherwise a solid improvement.

    Not as good as expected/hoped

    I have had this set for two months now. There are times when I am really impressed with the clarity, color, and processing of the images, but there has also been multiple occasions (probably at least once or twice a day), where I easily notice the “dirty screen effect” of shadowed dark lines running vertical throughout the TV. Really noticeable on images with a lot of one color, such as golf (green) or hockey (white). Super frustrating since this wasn’t something I had on my 9 year old Sony Bravia this set replaced. Also, there have been multiple times during movies or dark shows where you can tell the tv cannot figure out whether to dim the local zone or not so you get a smattering of black geometric sections flickering on and off. I have messed with all of the settings and options and I still have these issues. Lastly, this model does not work with ANY of the Samsung special flat mounts for QLEDs. None of them. It is super confusing and Samsung’s own customer service rep told me they did work only to later find out, after purchasing of course, that they don’t. Sad to say I regret buying this TV.
